A Little Black Dress For Black Friday

Happy Friday! I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving Day because I definitely did and seeing as how I still can’t move cause I’m so full, it’s a good thing I have the day off.

In honor of black Friday I decided to get into the spirit and wear a little black dress. I love a simple black dress because it’s pretty much a blank canvas. So I paired a button down for warmth, a bow belt for a cinched waist, a bright clutch for a pop of color and my favorite coat for a statement. As much as I love an LBD, I actually hate black Friday. I totally get that it’s a tradition and I love a good sale (I’ve already put in a few online orders), but I hate that stores are opening on Thanksgiving Day because those sales associates deserve to spend time at home with their family and I hate how people lose sight of the real meaning of the Holiday season just to go wait on line and fight over a t.v. But hey, every family has their own traditions and to each their own.
I spent the day watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, a marathon of Modern Family and a Hallmark movie here and there with my mom, boyfriend and his little dog. It was small, it was quiet, it was simple and it was exactly where I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing. And on another note, now that Thanksgiving is over, I am so ready for the flood of obnoxious Christmas movies, songs and basically Christmas everything. Since my birthday is in December & Christmas is officially right around the corner, it’s kind of obvious why it’s my favorite month. We are putting up our tree today and I couldn’t be more excited!!
