5 Things I’m Currently Loving

Here’s what I’m currently loving…

Jewelry

I’m having a major moment with jewelry. This year I’m really trying to focus on building up my jewelry collection and picking out timeless, everyday pieces. Since we’ve been staying home more and I am no longer in the routine of putting on my jewelry every morning and taking it off every night, I have been trying to invest in more solid gold pieces that I can wear all day and don’t have to take off. Honestly, I just feel like I’m the best version of myself when I have jewelry on.

I’m currently loving these two new pieces I just added to my collection. The first is a ring from Local Eclectic, which was a Christmas gift from Eddie. This ring is just perfection to me. It is small and dainty, the band is solid gold and the main star of the show is the emerald. In case you couldn’t tell from my header, green is one of my favorite fashion colors and so I’m drooling over the emerald.

The second piece is from Mejuri. As usual I’m late to the Mejuri fan girl train, but I am currently loving everything about them and I would like one of each piece they sell please. I purchased these small and dainty hoop earrings because I really wanted a pair of earrings I could wear all the time and these 14k babies fit the bill. They are so lightweight that I don’t feel them, they do not irritate my ears at all and I wear them in the shower and to sleep with no problem. I can absolutely see why everyone loves the brand.

Fresh Flowers

I can not tell you how happy I feel whenever we have fresh flowers in the apartment. Our go-to place for affordable but beautiful flowers is Trader Joe’s. My mom picks up a few bundles once a week and then we combine them into a vase to make a really nice bouquet for the house. Right now I’m currently loving these mums which we recently picked up in white, yellow and lavender. It’s giving me all the spring vibes. And I’m not usually a fan of roses since I feel like they don’t last very long, but we picked up a bundle for a Valentine’s Day photoshoot I had in mind plus I also loved having the pop of red in the house for a few days.

Aerie Lounge Set

Since 2020 was a rough year for me I absolutely missed the “buy all the lounge sets!” phase of quarantine. Always late to the party, but I eventually get there. I recently saw this short set in an Aerie marketing email and was so excited because I rarely find shorts and short sets with a longer inseam. I know I’m home and I know no one is going to see me, but I just like my shorts a little bit longer than my undies thank you very much!

I was so excited that I spontaneously ordered this navy blue set that had matching shorts and long sweatpants and honestly, I am so glad I did. I am obsessed!! It’s so comfy and cozy and fits perfectly since it’s not too tight, but not too big. I also love the polo style top which I feel like is very on trend and a little more fun than a plain crewneck. For reference, I’m wearing a Medium in the set and Medium short in the long pants since I’m 4″11. And also for reference, I’m currently loving this set so much that I already have it in two more colors.

White Nail Polish

I actually became obsessed with white nail polish this summer, but right now I’m currently loving it so much that I’ve been exclusively wearing white nail polish. And that’s saying a lot since I used to almost always wear red polish. I just love how fresh it looks and how much it pops. Not to mention I feel 10x sassier with white polish on and like I have my life together. Can you see a theme? I need to feel good about myself or at least feel like I look good to be productive. A few of my favorites are from Essie in the shades First Fitting, Blanc and Coconut Cove.

Earl Grey Tea & The Great British Baking Show

You guys know I love my Venti Green Tea Lemonade Sweetened from Starbucks. I get it rain or shine, whether it’s hot or cold out, I don’t care. But since I haven’t been going out recently, I’ve actually been opting for a hot cup of Earl Grey Tea at night. I love how mild the flavor is and I consider it my “something sweet” after dinner to stop me from snacking on an otherwise unhealthy option. I like to add a little sugar and milk to my tea. And to go with that, my family and I have recently become obsessed with The Great British Baking Show. It is amazing and just makes me so darn happy. I’m only on season 3 but I’m currently loving it because there is no nasty drama, the contestants are so nice and supportive of each other and the hosts are so great. If you need a light and fun show that will make you happy and provide an escape from the world, I highly recommend.
