I blame my mother for my love of handbags and I especially blame her for my love of designer handbags.
Ever since she bought me that pink Dooney & Burke bag from the Lindsay Lohan ad when I was younger, it’s all been downhill from there.
I love me a good designer accessory. I’m not really one to spend a lot of money on clothes. I’m a sale rack kind of girl, but I can get behind a good designer accessory.
Lately I’ve been feeling like I need to treat myself so I rounded up some designer accessories that I’ve been eyeing for a while that I would love to add to my collection.
You’ll notice you won’t find any Chanel items because I just can’t get behind their constant price hiking. Like we get it. You’re exclusive. Relax.

Saint Laurent
I first spotted this Saint Laurent Carré shoulder bag on Farfetch. I fell in love with the classic style and silhouette, but the thing that stood out to me the most was the hot pink color. I know a bright pink bag may not seem realistic in a designer handbag, but I feel like over the years I’ve built a really diverse collection with different styles and neutral colors that I’m ready to add a statement piece. My Saint Laurent sac du jour is one of my favorite bags. It’s such a well-made and sturdy bag that I think it’s such a great investment so I have high hopes for this one. I especially love that the straps are adjustable since I like wearing my crossbody bags high up. I’m still deciding if I want to take a risk with the hot pink or go the classic neutral route, but I’m having so many visions of fall outfit ideas with a hot pink bag!
Louis Vuitton
Besides my pink Dooney & Burke bag, my extensive velvet Juicy Couture collection and my colorful Coach bags, my Louis Vuitton speedy was my first real designer handbag so the brand is sentimental to me. I feel like at one point LV and anything monogram canvas related was kind of looked down upon. But, I feel like I’m at a stage in my life where I don’t really care what people think and I like what I like. It’s my money and I’ll buy and wear what I like and I like a monogram canvas!
- I love an agenda and I take my agendas very seriously when I have to buy one at the beginning of the year. But, I would actually love to invest in a Louis Vuitton agenda that is timeless and only requires me to buy a yearly insert. I just think it looks so chic and I carry my agenda with me everywhere I go so this would definitely be a statement.
- I’m 100% being high maintenance with this item, but I just love the Louis Vuitton vanity case. In terms of practicality, I would probably choose the cosmetic pouch, but I just love how the vanity case looks and I feel like when I’m not traveling I can display it on my desk year round.
- A Louis Vuitton duffel is suddenly what my travel dreams are made of. It’s such a stylish piece, but I also think it’s so practical for traveling. Plus, unlike the rolling luggage you don’t have to worry about checking it in or having it taken away and getting ruined. I feel like I could easily fit all of my essentials comfortably in this bag.
Longchamp
When you think of Longchamp, you don’t necessarily think designer since they are especially known for their nylon totes. But, they do show at fashion week and if you really look at their collection they have some great (& pricey) pieces. I’ve been using the brand since college and have since tried a ton of different travel/tote brands and nothing compares. Their quality is unmatched. Lately, I’ve been very into their mini bags since they’ve been coming out with more stylish items. Here I go again with a bright color, but I love a pink and red color combo. It reminds me of my iMac! But this velvet mini bag with the logo strap is just speaking to me and I need it.
Gucci
I can not tell you how many years the Gucci sneakers have been on my wishlist. I always say I’m going to get them before a trip and never do. I’m a sneaker girl. I’m just more comfortable in a good sneaker, especially a white sneaker because I feel like they are versatile and I just love how classic these look. Plus, in case you haven’t noticed, I love color so the red and green color on the back is so fun to me.
Dior
I actually have no Dior items in my collection. I’m not that big of a fan of a lot of their styles and the Lady Dior bag is a pricey little number. But, this saddle belt bag is just calling my name. I love how classic and timeless it looks especially in the black with gold hardware. Plus I love a belt bag so I would love to add a designer option to my collection.
