It’s the last full work week until Christmas! This month, this year, everything just feels like it flew by.
On Friday night, my mom & I went to the mall and picked up some goodies at Sephora that I can not wait to share what I got here because for some reason I’m extra excited and extra in love with these new products. Then Eddie & I went to see Jumanji 2 on Saturday which was hilarious. I know it’s so basic, but I LOVE going to the movies. Just the whole experience, I just LOVE going to the movies. Then we went grocery shopping for the week like the real life adults we are. #ThisIs27.
I don’t remember the last time I strictly did an outfit post. I swear it has to be years! But, I’m keeping it simple today and throwing it back to my early days of blogging where I would put up an outfit post and just chat about it.
For full transparency, I really struggled putting these photos up.
I’ve gained weight over the past few years and have struggled trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and patterns and my weight is nowhere near where I want it to be and I feel like these photos show that. I know body positivity is a big thing in the world at the moment, as it should be, but I also think it’s okay to admit that it’s sometimes hard to always love yourself.
There are days where I get up and don’t know what to wear and end up throwing on an oversized hoodie because I feel so uncomfortable in my skin and there are days where I feel good and can put a cohesive outfit together.
But, that’s not the point of today’s post. I wanted to share an easy, last minute holiday outfit idea for my gals that are not into sequins and glitter and velvet and don’t want to spend money on a red/green ensemble that they will wear once a year. I’m a big believer that accessories & a bold red lip can really transform any look so my go-to outfit for life is an all black look with my favorite jewelry, a red lip and my current favorite bag.
It could just be the New Yorker in me, but an all black look really helps me feel put together even on my hardest days where I don’t feel great.
Thank you so much for stopping by & reading.
Have a great week!
