Easy Like A Sunday Morning & Friday Favorites

Sometimes you just gotta take it easy… Easy Like A Sunday Morning.

Let’s Talk Outfit Details

Guys, I have literally become the definition of basic. Lately my favorite thing to do on the weekend is to go to the mall and eat at The Cheesecake Factory (don’t judge me!) and then hit up Sephora & Victoria’s Secret. To be honest, I’m not mad about it.

Anyways, last Sunday I woke up and just wanted to go to the mall. I just wanted to get out of the house and I knew I wanted to make a few purchases. But, I didn’t want to get all dolled up or waste time getting ready. Since it was a little chilly out and my mall is right by the river, I threw on my favorite navy sweater. It has a loose fit and is super comfortable which is why I love it. Then my white skinnies which I always reach for in the warmer months. And then my Adidas sneakers since again it was a little cool out and these are comfy for running around.

I just love that I just threw this outfit on and still felt good about myself and pretty comfortable. PLUS, I’m pretty sure this is my first post with my hair up! Woah baby! So I really embraced those laid back, weekend vibes which inspired this “Easy Like A Sunday Morning” vibe.

Friday Favorites

Summer Fridays: …Finally start! Every company does Summer Fridays differently. When I worked in PR, that was my favorite since we would get out at 1:00 PM every Friday. But, at my current job, we have 6 Fridays that we can take the whole day off, which is great as well. Since I really wanted to enjoy the long weekend, I used my first summer Friday to take today off!

Annual Mother-Daughter MET trip: If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that this is such a special tradition that my mom and I have. It started when I was in college and basically every May, my mom and I take a trip to the MET to see the latest fashion exhibit, then eat at our favorite diner down the block, take some blog pictures then walk down Madison or Fifth Ave. It’s a big bonding day and I seriously look forward to it every year. We were going to try and go today, but I’m not sure because of the weather so I’ll keep you posted on Monday!

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale: I’ve been in such a shopping mood lately so when I saw the word “SALE” I ran to my computer. A lot of great picks, especially pieces for this transitional weather and summer. A few of my favorites include these heels, these mules, this off the shoulder top and this peplum top.

Netflix|| Dear White People: I’ve been on such a Netflix kick lately and have been into binge watching new or popular shows. My most recent watch was Dear White People and it was amazing. I can guarantee you that it’s not what you think it is because I know I had a few preconceptions before I started watching. It’s eye opening, but also great entertainment.

Book|| Rich People Problems: I am SO HAPPY this is finally out! I started the series when I traveled to Vietnam and have been hooked since. This is the third (and last?) book in the series so I’m so excited to get started. I got a hardcover as well so it’s going to be a great addition to my desk stack when I finish. Since I’m Asian, I personally find this hysterical and totally relatable, but regardless I think it’s an amazing read.
