Elbow Patches & Riding Boots

Happy Friday!

I’ve never been happier to see a Friday…
This week has been way too cold, way too long and just as stressful as anticipated. Honestly, you know it’s a rough week when you get up every morning and don’t know what to wear so you continuously put on the same sweater because it’s super warm and comfortable. With the risk of sounding dramatic, I’m actually exhausted mentally and physically. I’ve dropped a trunk and multiple heels on both of my feet and have about a million random cuts on my hand. I know it sounds like I’m complaining, but I’m not. Believe me I love my job and yes I love my boss because I do in fact have the best boss ever (Kyle, if you’re reading this & I know you are, don’t text me that you’re the best boss ever because I clearly just stated that here), but honestly it’s therapeutic writing about my week.
But, back to the main point. I’ve been keeping it pretty simple and pretty neutral as of late. I used to live in riding boots, but last year started gravitating more towards my ankle booties so I’ve in a sense rediscovered my love for riding boots. And since I’ve set a shopping block for myself, I’ve been shopping the closet and rediscovered this beige & black beauty. Not only is it warm & comfortable, but I love the details like the elbow patches and buttons. This is also my attempt at trying to rediscover my love for winter because I’ve honestly never been more ready to crack out the summer dresses and sandals from my closet…

Hello Linda!!! Yay, it is Friday!!! I know you had a challenging week but now you get to relax, sleep in and watch a movie or two:-) I am by myself this weekend. My better half is on a weekend trip with his friends and my daughter is with her dad. So as I type this comment, I am sitting on my bed, listening to soft music and drinking a glass of wine:-) Shopping in our closets is a great thing to do. Not only it saves us from spending money but we get to be creative and come up with different looks using what we have and to me, that is to be a true stylist. Tomorrow I will be cleaning my closet and I am planning to put together a few outfits for a photo shoot on Sunday so will see what I find! Love the riding boots (I need a pair BTW) and the sweater is very chic. And you look beautiful and super happy. Have an amazing weekend! XOXO, Jeannette

Thank you so much Jeannette! Your weekend sounds so relaxing and after all of your work trips, you definitely deserve it! Hope your spa day was amazing and I really need to try juicing at least once. This weekend was a relaxing way, but went by way too quickly! And I couldn't agree with you more, being a true stylist is working with what you have and honestly I feel amazing when I mix and match pieces in my closet. Call me crazy, but I love cleaning out my closet. It's such a process, but kind of enjoyable! And I can't wait to see the pictures from your photo shoot and you would look amazing in a pair of riding boots! Hope you have a great Monday and a great rest of the week!
