Black Lace Tee & Blue Leather Jacket

Happy Monday!

If you live in the northeast you’ve heard about this impending snow storm. Honestly the news always hypes things up that I never take anything seriously until it hits. But, all I know is, I wish I would see “Conde Nast” flash at the bottom of my screen under “school closings.” Hey, a girl can dream right?

Doesn’t the title of this black lace tee post sound like the title of a scandalous adult novel?
I got really into lace pieces last year, but found it to be such a tricky fabric to pull off. There’s always such a fine line when it comes to lace where the piece either looks to much like lingerie, too cheap or it just ends up aging you. I purchased this black lace tee & skirt last year and honestly haven’t gotten a lot of wear out of either of them. I rediscovered both of these pieces a few weeks ago and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why they weren’t staples in my closet. I really wanted the focus of this black lace tee outfit to be on the lace detail so I decided to pair lace on lace together (Lace, Lace Baby). And of course a leather jacket, mirrored sunnies & open toe booties to edge it up a bit.

Gorgeous look! Love the lace detail. Sometimes shopping in your own closet you find the best stuff! Hopefully it doesn't snow too much by you, stay safe and warm

Very very cute. I always love a lace and leather combo. Also, pictures may be deceiving but it looks like the weather is warming up in New York?

I love this look. If only I could wear peep toes right now. That storm hit us here in NE Ohio pretty hard, I can't imagine how bad you guys got it. Keep warm and safe friend! (:

I like how you toughened up the lace shirt/skirt with the leather jacket and chunky booties. And I'm loving that clutch! You have a great collection of clutches, girl! Keep warm and safe up there!

I'm so in love with the shoes! They remind me of these vince ones that were too expensive for me to justify 🙁 Hope you're faring well in the storm!

Love lace and leather haha! And this was taken on an unusually warm day in December and of course when I posted this a huge blizzard hits haha, so it's actually freezing here again!

Thank you so much Shannon! I used to be so scared of lace because it seemed so formal, but I love finding ways to dress it down. Thanks again and hope you are having a great week!

Thank you so much Heidi! Wasn't as bad as was anticipated, but we did get a snow day haha!

Haha I've been trying to get use out of my peep toes at work and during blog pictures, but I immediately change into boots afterward! We didn't get it as bad as they anticipated, but got a snow day so I'm not complaining!

Thanks girl! And I can't seem to get enough of mirrored sunnies so you definitely need a pair!

Thank you so much Ivete! I have such a handbag weakness haha and it's funny because I went from having no clutches to too many clutches. Thank you for your well wishes and I'm so envious of your gorgeous weather down there haha!

Thanks girl! That's exactly what I thought when I spotted them. I so desperately wanted the Vince ones and when I finally saved enough money and justified purchasing them I couldn't find them in my size, but these are just as great and so comfortable! Thanks again and hope you're having a great week!

Hello Linda! You really nailed the art of creating an awesome lace on lace look. I really love the fact that you added edginess and contrast by wearing a leather jacket on top of the lace and super chic aviators. I fell in love with those DV shoes since the first time I saw you wearing them not long ago. And that CV clutch…. is GORGEOUS!!! You look beautiful and happy as always! Keep going beautiful girl and don't you dare to stop!!! Just know that I am your number one fan:-) XOXO, Jeannette
