A lot of you guys have been asking about my skincare routine lately.

Just kidding, but I love starting my skincare routine posts like this.

My Lazy Skincare Routine I Swear By

I go through phases where I’m open to trying everything and anything, where I’m layering serums, oils and creams on my skin. And then I go through phases where I find a simple routine that works and I loyally stick with it. I’m currently in the “lazy, as few steps as possible please, plus make it affordable” phase. Listen, it’s 2021. I am tired. Tired of living through historical events and trying to survive. Let me be lazy especially when it comes to skincare. And honestly, my lazy skincare routine is only 4 steps and  has really been working for me so I’ve been sticking with it and loving it.

Cleanser

The Tula cleanser is a cult classic for a reason. It’s amazing. I have been using it for several years now and have repurchased it several times. It’s a gentle cleanser with a light scent that leaves your skin feeling amazing. It retails for $28. I have also been loving the CeraVe foaming cleanser for oily skin. It’s a bit of a more affordable option, retailing for $15. I just finished my bottle and switched back to Tula which is why it is not pictured her, but I think you can’t go wrong with either.

Moisturizer

I typically have oily skin, but given the cold weather and the dry air inside, my skin has been so dry. Over the summer, I used this moisturizer and loved it, but recently have needed something a little heavier. I actually purchased the travel size version of this moisturizer over the summer for Eddie, but he never used it! His loss because it’s amazing. It’s a lightweight cream that really does pack a punch if you have dry skin. I like that it’s not too thick or hard to spread out and it does not just sit on my skin, it really soaks in and leaves me with moisturized, dewy skin.

Eye Balm

There are a few reasons why I love the Tula Eye Balm. It keeps my under eye area moisturized and it instantly gives my face a boost with it’s brightening effect. But, I especially love it because it’s so easy to use when all I want is a simple lazy skincare routine. It’s an easy twist tube and all I have to do is swipe it on. It easily blends out which is great because sometimes I just don’t have the patience to lightly massage an eye cream and wait for it to soak in.

Lip Balm

I’m going to say something quite controversial. You don’t need those fancy, expensive overnight lip balms & masks. They smell good, they kinda work, but you don’t need them. You need carmex. I know this has been around for forever and everyone probably uses it, but I actually had never tried it before. I normally use vaseline but it just wasn’t working for me recently. My lips were so dry and cracked that they hurt and I didn’t know what to do. I tried carmex and within an hour my lips were smooth and no longer chapped. It even keeps my lips moisturized throughout the night. Try it. A 4 pack is only $4. Get it and thank me later.
