10 New Beauty Products I’ve Been Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday!

I can’t tell if this week is flying by or going slowly. Last year it felt like January lasted for a year in itself and I’m kinda thinking this January will feel the same.

Anyways, I recently picked up a few new beauty products that I am honestly loving and have been crazy obsessed with and couldn’t wait to share. Some products are even throwback products that I can’t believe I ever stopped using! So here are the 10 new beauty products I’ve been loving lately.

My Favorite New Beauty Products

BEAUTYBLENDER Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundation

I feel like I’m always on the hunt for a new foundation. I’ve been using the same drugstore one for years because it’s one of my favorites and I haven’t found anything that really compares. I had heard a few people rave about this foundation so I decided to give it a try and pick it up at the last Sephora sale. And honestly, it lives up to the hype! I really like the packaging and the way the bottle doubles as a base for you to mix or hold your foundation so you don’t have to pump everything directly on your brush or sponge. It feels lightweight on the skin, it has great coverage without being heavy and I like how it dries down so I don’t have to overdue it with powder. I have oily skin and this lasts for most of the day on me. I only have to use a blotting paper once in the afternoon around my t-zone then I’m good for the rest of the day.

BAREMINERALS Original Loose Powder Mineral Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15

And staying on the topic of foundation, this was the first ever foundation I ever used. I think I tried it for the first time in high school for my senior prom and used it during my first two years of college. My mom still uses this and swears by it so when we went to pick up a fresh one for her for our Vietnam trip, I decided to give it a try again. And oh my goodness, I don’t know why I ever stopped using this!! It is amazing. It gives such great natural coverage and it really looks like your skin, but better. Plus it’s so easy to use that you don’t have to stand there and worry about blending and blending because it’s so natural.

SIGMA F80 Flat Kabuki Brush

If you followed beauty gurus back in 2010, then you know this was a big time favorite of literally everyone that used makeup on YouTube. Which is probably why I was #Influenced to pick it up. I’ve used it on and off through the years, but I really prefer my Beautyblender sponge. But, when I decided to revisit the Bareminerals powder, I decided to revisit this brush as well. I used to apply the Bareminerals powder with a big fluffy brush, but using the F80 which is a denser brush, truly makes such a big difference. It helps me get the coverage I want without wasting so much powder and it’s just such a great brush.

BAREMINERALS Mineral Veil Setting Powder Broad Spectrum SPF 25

Another product that I used years ago that I decided to bring back. I’ve felt like my everyday translucent powder was just a little too heavy with my Beautyblender foundation since it dries down matte and I also found that I had to set my Bareminerals foundation and this was the perfect product for both of my needs. I like the light coverage it adds and the way it seems to make my skin glow. I’ve been applying my translucent powder with a sponge, but I find that a brush works better with this powder because it’s a bit grittier and not as smooth as my other ones. But, it’s still such a great, lightweight everyday powder.

JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS Magic Star Concealer

You guys know I love Jeffree Star products. I swear by his liquid lip formula, it’s the best on the market. I’ve been wanting to try his concealers for a while, plus the packaging is incredible. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It’s so good and a little truly goes a long way. I like that you get a lot of coverage, but it’s light and doesn’t feel heavy on your skin. It’s also really easy to blend out. I put the smallest swipe under my eyes, blend it out and I’m good to go.

TULA Brightening Eye Balm Stick

I am obsessed with Tula skincare products. I swear by their face wash & illuminating serum. I’ve tried to live without it, but I just NEED it in my skincare routine. I restocked on my favorite products during their Black Friday sale and decided to finally try this eye balm. It is so good! I swipe this on in the morning before I apply my makeup and at night after my skincare routine and I like that it not only feels refreshing, but also makes my skin glow. I even swipe this on when I opt for no makeup for a little glow and I can’t wait to travel with this for a little pick me up. I also really want to try their rose version now!

ESTEE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex IIĀ

I love a good serum. Honestly, it’s definitely a mental thing in my book. Just that one little step makes me feel like I’m really nailing my skincare routine, but I have to say, this serum is really great and lives up to the hype. Like the name suggests, I apply this at night after I wash my face and apply my essence. I use the smallest amount and a little goes a long way. When I wake up in the morning, I feel like my skin looks better, feels smooth and my redness is under control.

LUSH Cookie Dough Shower Scrub

This post is just filled with throwbacks, but my skin has been crazy dry lately especially my arms. It’s not irritating, I just notice if I run my hand over my arms that I feel dry patches. So I decided to pop into Lush. When I was in college, I feel like Lush was such a big deal and every beauty guru would talk about them and I would buy everything under the sun. But, it’s been a while since I’ve popped in. The sales associate was so nice and helped me try a few different products to find what was right for me. At first, I thought I wanted to pick up a scrubee because everyone raves about them, but I didn’t like the residue it left behind. It has shea butter in it so it’s supposed to feel smooth and like lotion even when you wash it off, but I just didn’t like it personally. So instead I went with the cookie dough scrub. I was so nervous when the SA first suggested this because I am not a fan of sweet body products. I like floral and fruity scents, but not sweet so I was so surprised when this was my favorite of the bunch. You pick up a little of this scrub, rub it together then rub it on your skin and it helps to really exfoliate the area. Plus the smell isn’t that strong or overly sweet which I appreciated.

LUSH Sympathy For The Skin

And to go with the scrub, the SA recommenced this body lotion and once she mentioned it had a banana in it, I was sold. But, to be honest, its not a strong banana scent so don’t be turned off if you’re not a banana fan. To me, it’s more of a tropical scent. But, I love this lotion and it really is the perfect final product for when I get out of the shower. I am very picky about the consistency of my body lotions and face moisturizers. This one is a bit runnier and not as thick if that makes sense, which is what I prefer. I like that its easy to apply and spread on the skin and soaks up instantly so you don’t feel like you just have a layer of lotion on you. It’s so good and my skin has not been dry since using this combo!

KILIAN After Sunset Eau De Parfum

And now for my absolute favorite product in this whole entire post, my new perfume!! I first heard about this product from watching MissRemiAshten’s Vlogmas videos and hearing her rave about this. Then Liz & I popped into Sephora after one of our shopping trips and came across the table of Kilian perfumes. I first noticed it because the packaging is so freaking cute and original and after smelling this scent, I WAS SOLD. After Sunset has a touch of lychee in it and I LOVE LYCHEE and oh my god, this is so freaking good. It’s fruity and floral, light and not overpowering, but just so good that I need to buy it by the gallon and bathe in it. I believe it’s a Sephora exclusive so try it out when you are in Sephora next and come back to thank me!!
