Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday!
I finally put the Animal Crossing down, dragged myself out of my couch potato status (it was getting embarrassing honestly) and forced myself to leave the apartment and with that came quite a few new purchases this month. And since I’ve been obsessed with every single thing I’ve purchased, I wanted to share 10 Recent Fashion and Beauty Finds that I picked up this month.
Is it me or has anyone else just loved every single thing they have purchased in quarantine? Maybe it’s because we’re all struggling to find some happiness these days or we’re going crazy being indoors so much but I find myself dramatically being like “oh my god, I LOVE THIS” with every single purchase.
Shop With Me :: 10 Recent Fashion And Beauty Finds – August 2020
I’ve always liked sneakers, but I’ve never been a crazy sneaker person. I normally opt for easy slip-ons like Vans, but recently I’ve become obsessed with Nike sneakers. When I saw these Air Force 1 sneakers, it was truly love at first sight and I NEEDED them in my life. They are even prettier in person and so freaking comfortable. I wore these out on a shopping trip with my mom when we just wandered around New York and they were so comfortable. I already want the all white pair and have been checking for other color iterations it comes in.
And speaking of Nike sneakers, I’m hoping to snag this pair when I shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale tomorrow.
Gorjana Power Gemstone Bracelet
I picked up this Gorjana bracelet up on a whim while I was shopping with my mom in Nordstrom. It was set-up near the Little Words Project display which I adore and actually have two bracelets from. I noticed the two actually looked cute paired together, plus I loved the idea behind this. Basically, it comes in different color gems which each one standing for something different. I picked up the Pink Jade for Dream and the packaging says it’s supposed to calm the mind and encourage peaceful dreaming. Honestly, I just love the idea behind power gemstones and I think this one is really cute and adds to my arm candy!
I have a very vivid memory of getting ready to go to Disney World when I was younger and ordering a pair of American Flag print Birkenstocks from QVC. We ended up returning them because they were too big, but also like, what was I thinking?! Fast forward to January 2020, I ordered another pair in black for my Vietnam trip. Again, returned them because they were too big. Seriously, why is their sizing so confusing?! And now bringing us to present day, I finally made Birkenstocks work!! And I am in love. I’ve been wearing sneakers most of the summer because my old sandals haven’t been providing enough support and I’ve been having lower back pain (late 20’s problems honestly). But, these are so freaking comfortable, so easy to style and I actually think they are quite cute.
Birkenstock Sandals in Icy Metallic Old Rose
And I loved them so much, I picked them up in the prettiest rose gold color. Seriously, photos do not do these shoes justice, they are prettier in person.
I love a good oversized men’s tee, plus they are especially perfect for the summer of bike shorts. This one is only $10 and I really like the acid wash look of it.
My two favorite things collide in this tee, a tie dye print and Disney. I saw this on TikTok from one of the Orlando Disney accounts I follow and rushed to Target in the hopes they still had it. This is just so cute and I love a good Disney graphic tee.
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution
I mentioned in this post that I was trying to work this toning solution into my skincare routine. It’s constantly selling out and I was finally able to pick it up and wow, this is what my routine has been missing. I try to use this every other day. To minimize waste with one use cotton rounds, I just put some of this in the palm of my hands and press it into my skin. Honestly, I can tell a difference the next morning. My skin looks clearer, my pores look smaller, my blackheads minimized, it’s just incredible. Plus it’s only about $9.
Another beauty find that is constantly selling out, but if you are able to get your hands on these, pick them up ASAP. Normal pore strips like the Biore ones are not great for your skin because they’re drying and pull at your skin. These are different in that you leave them on for 4 to 6 hours or overnight and it pulls up the excess oil in your skin. This set comes with one for your nose and an additional one that I use on my chin. I have pretty oily skin so this is a great product and I really see a difference in my pores when I wake up.
So these items don’t fall into the fashion and beauty finds category, but I love them nonetheless and wanted to share some other recent Target finds.
I saw this pen at the “Back to School” section and actually ran to it. It’s so cute, how could I leave without it? It gives me Clueless vibes and every time I use it, it makes me 10x sassier. Eddie tried to drag me away and said I didn’t need. Did I want it? Yes. But, did I need it? Again, yes.
The notebooks I had at home were the ones I used for my previous job. I’m a pretty sentimental person and to be honest using them just brought back memories and old emotions and put me in a sour mood. So, I decided to go to Target and pick up new ones. I really just wanted one notebook that I could jot down ideas and brainstorm for my blog. One notebook turned into three and here we are. And this is the edited list! I just couldn’t resist them, they were so cute.
Currently I’m using the leather pink one as my blog notebook to brainstorm and plan content. The rose gold spiral one as my “learning” notebook as I’m trying to learn more about SEO and marketing. And as a Vietnamese gal, I couldn’t leave the store without the pho notebook so it currently has no plans, but like, you cannever have enough notebooks, ya know!
And those are pretty much all of my recent fashion and beauty finds plus Target finds for this month. If I continue to give into the shopping bug I might make this a reoccurring monthly series.
With that being said, I actually have been really smart with my money and have been focusing on saving especially during these uncertain and trying times. But, it’s been a rough few months and these are just a few things that I treated myself too. If you are not in the market to shop right now, I have a post going up at the end of the month on how I saved money so be sure to check back for that.
Thank you so much for stopping by & reading!
OMG so happy you finally got the right pairs of Birks. THEY’RE THE BESTTTTTTTTT.
Also I’ve definitely been gravitating towards men’s tees too!
