Redecorating My Small Office Space

Hi Friends! Happy Monday!

Last March, I shared details about my small office space, which is really just a corner in my apartment that I claimed as my work space. You can see all photos & details in the post here.

Fast forward to this March and the start of quarantine and working from home, I was so over my small office space. It became really cluttered and tight. Every time I sat down to work at my desk, I felt like I had no space to stretch out and no space to even pull out a notebook. Honestly, it became a dumping ground for my clothes and other random items I didn’t know where to put. I desperately wanted and needed to give my small office space a facelift so it could once again because a usable work area for me.

So today, I wanted to share photos and details of my updated small office space! It may not seem like a big transformation, but for me it feels like one and I’m just really happy with how it came out. This is the most I’ve ever utilized my desk for getting work done and I actually feel excited to sit at my desk so the redecorating definitely helped!

*I added command hooks at the side of my desk so I could hang chargers because I hated seeing them just thrown on the floor!*

Erasable Pens

When I started thinking about redecorating my workspace, I wanted to make sure I was spending as little money as possible and instead utilizing and reworking my current desk decor. I still wanted my space to be colorful and personal, but with more workable space.

A few details that I love…..

I opted for these acrylic floating wall shelves and filled them with the fun decor that I love. On the shelves, I stored my favorite books from Asian authors, my favorite rom-com and YA books, souvenirs from my trips to Puerto Rico & Vietnam, and Funko Pops of my favorite characters from my favorite movies. I love that the shelves cleared up my desk space, while also still displaying the fun and personal decor that I think sum me up.

I also wanted a small, compact jewelry box where I could store, but easily access my jewelry and I really love the one I picked up from Amazon.

I kept my vanity mirror so that I could also utilize my desk as a place where I could get ready and apply my makeup. I picked up the Hello Kitty figure in Vietnam and it’s actually a light. I like that it has a purpose, but still has a little personality then just a regular lamp.

I picked up a lot of items from Amazon because they had everything I needed at a great price point. I love this laptop stand that has made working on my blog and editing pictures so much easier. It elevates my laptop to eye level and it’s just been a great addition. I also caved and picked up a mouse and the nicest rose gold metal mousepad. It seems silly, but I just love working with a mouse than just the laptop trackpad!

I actually had this pink marble pencil holder at my desk at work and loved it so much, I picked up one for my home office space. Along with a pack of my favorite erasable pens. I also had this rose gold phone holder at my work desk and again loved it so much, I picked up another one for working from home.

I also picked up this mirrored clock on a whim because I thought it looked like an iPhone which I loved. It also has USB ports so it doubles as a charger!

I really love how my small office space turned out and I think the few small changes I made helped to make the space more usable while still maintaining the fun, quirkiness that I love!

Thank you so much for stopping by & reading.

The command hooks for chargers is SO smart and I LOVE the shelves. I definitely need to get more shelving that is practical for my room, right now I just have aesthetically pleasing ones that can only hold like 2 pounds LOL.
