School Girl Prep

Happy Monday! After a much needed relaxing weekend, I know it’s going to be an amazing week!
You would think I would steer clear of anything that resembled a uniform after going to private schools my whole life. But, truth be told, I miss wearing uniforms! They just made life so much easier. It took me 30 minutes to get ready in the morning and I didn’t have to even worry about what I was going to wear. You can imagine the difficult transition I went through my freshmen year of college and how 30 minutes in the morning turned into 1 hour and 30 minutes. But, honestly I love the simplicity of a uniform and it feels so good to actually layer again!
In a sense I consider this like a uniform for myself. Once the cooler weather hits, you can expect layers on layers on layers. But until then, I’ll settle for light layers. I decided to pull out my classic J.Crew Tippi sweater and pair it with my all time favorite navy city mini. To add a pop of color, I layered a collared yellow tank underneath and my favorite J.Crew necklace. When my mom and I started snapping pictures, we were so surprised by how early the sun started to set. But, I think it makes the yellow collar and the necklace stand out even more.
