I did a poll on Instagram stories asking you guys what you wanted to see on the blog and I was so surprised with how many people chose a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Haul.
Me and my low light, low quality mirror pics were not ready.
So I spent the last two days styling and shooting my haul to provide some high quality content lol.
When I first started shopping the sale, I got caught up in the hype of it all. I can not tell you how many things I bought only to not wear them come fall or just purge them from my closet. The past two years I’ve made a conscious effort to keep my purchases small and only choose items I know will be long term favorites. And this year was no exception.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Haul
Nike Sweatshirt: I’ve wanted this sweatshirt for years so this year I finally added it to the cart and I’m so happy I did. It’s the perfect cropped length for my petite frame. It’s incredibly oversized and comfortable. I’ve been wearing it nonstop since getting it. Full disclosure, this was sold out when it was my shopping day on Nordstrom so I actually found it fully in stock on the Nike website, in multiple colors and at a greater discount. I’m wearing a size small, but fit an XS so depending how you like your sweatshirts to fit, keep it TTS or size down.
Nike Running Shorts: I don’t think these shorts will ever see me run, but they will see my lounging inside. These are super comfortable and I’ve just been loving everything Nike lately. I would size up in these. I’m typically an 8 in bottoms and I picked up a size large because I like a looser fit. Sold out in most size on Nordstrom, but fully stocked in multiple colors and on sale on the Nike website.
Hydro Flask: This specific one is not in the sale, they have a really pretty light blue one. But, in general, I really love my Hydro Flask. Between my mom and I, we now have 4 and we take them everywhere.
Gorjana Bracelets: I purchased these two bracelets last year and I literally wear them everyday. They are so easy to wear and go with everything. I have the white calming one and the jade lucky one.
Adidas Slides: These are ridiculously comfortable. They are cushioned and just about the softest shoes in the world. Plus I love the pink and red colors, it’s so adorable. These run incredibly big so size down. I’m a true size 6 and ordered these in a size 5.
Jack Black Shampoo: This is actually a men’s brand, but I have been in desperate need for volume and shape so I decided to give it a try. I have really fine hair and I let my hair grow out during the pandemic and oh girl, she was long and flat. I feel so much more like myself with shorter hair so I wanted to switch up my shampoo and I really love this one. I’ve used it a handful of times, but it smells good and leaves my hair so soft, fluffy and bouncy and gives me the volume I’m looking for. Would highly recommend! Plus the bottle is huge for the price point.
Other details: Gorjana bracelets.
Madewell T-Shirt Dress: This was an impulse buy after my initial order. I was really nervous about this one because everyone said it runs large and it’s really long so it’s not petite friendly. But, I actually fell in love with it when I first tried it on and I think this might be my favorite purchase and outfit for this Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Haul. I’m 4’11 and it hits me right above my knee. I actually don’t mind the length, but you can definitely get it hemmed if you want it a bit shorter.
It’s a thicker rib knit material which I appreciate because it doesn’t showcase all my problem areas.
I wanted to show the dress styled and not styled so you can see the true fit of the dress. I really like it with a jacket tied around the waist to give it some shape and make it shorter. And I cuffed the sleeves for a more stylish approach. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a basic black t-shirt dress. It’s classic and I really needed one in my wardrobe.
Size down since it does run big. I’m wearing a small.
Steve Madden Mules: I try not to buy into the most hyped products and I haven’t purchased a pair of Steve Madden shoes in years. But, when I visited the Nordstrom flagship store in NYC and tried these on, I was blown away by how comfortable and stylish they are. My mom even purchased them in this nude color and the black leather because they are so good. And I’m surprised they are still in stock! They really are so comfortable and the sole is cushioned. The chain is not heavy nor does it make any noise. These are just really cute and I see me wearing them a ton. They are true to size and I am wearing a size 6.
Other Details: Wearing the Coach Cassie 19 bag – sold out online.
Madewell Midi Skirt: I’m so sad because this skirt is so pretty and I wanted to love it, but it just didn’t work for me so I returned it. I really want to be a midi skirt gal, but I just find that most accentuate the parts of my body I’m most insecure about like my wide hips and my stomach. This Madwell skirt is made of a really nice light fabric, but because of that, it doesn’t hold you in or flows over your curves, I find that it accentuates every curve. I don’t think this is a design issue, but more so indicative of the overall midi skirt style so as much as I want, this style just doesn’t work for me! I’m wearing a size 8. It’s currently sold out, but I’m sure Madewell will release similar designs throughout the season.
Nike Essential Shorts: Not photographed because I returned it before I decided to do this post. But, this short did not work for me. The inseam is super short at a 2.5″ inseam. I personally like a longer short. It also ran small and the cut was off so it wasn’t that flattering.
