Valentine’s Day Statements

Happy Friday everyone!!

It’s been one hell of a week with its ups and downs. This is my second time experiencing NYFW and just like last September it is already taking me on this topsy turvy ride where it kicks my butt, but also makes me want to be a part of the madness. And since this weekend is supposed to be painfully cold, I plan on sleeping in until past noon and being glued to social media for NYFW updates!

You know those people who totally overdo it on their Valentine’s Day Outfit? Either hearts everywhere or a head-to-toe red look? Well…ta-da! I fall into that category! I LOVE Valentine’s Day and I try to wear something special every year for the occasion. Not necessarily getting dressed up for a date night, but something special to me, something (usually red or pink) that makes me feel beautiful and confident  and this year is no different.
Since I’m dying for warmer weather, I pulled out my favorite J.Crew summer skirt, the linen city mini and tried to winterize it. So I pulled out my oversized sweater (this is the one I talked about last week where I wanted to wear it everyday because it’s so cozy!), my striped statement coat and booties. I really love the contrast of light and heavy materials and the vibrant, statement colors to brighten up the cold, frigid days in the heart of winter.
Regardless of your feelings towards the 14th or how/if you will celebrate, I hope you all have a Happy Valentine’s Day filled with chocolate and cheesy rom-com movies!

Seriously this coat is so adorable! A little head to toe pink/ red never hurt anyone. (; We are going out tonight and you best believe I'm rocking an all pink dress complete with grey tights that have bows on them. Valentines day is "cute" why not dress the part? (; I'm totally with you on mixing light weight and heavy fabrics. Items you can transition are the best part of a wardrobe. (:
